Description

We are looking for a Facility Manager. As a facility manager, you are part of the Public Environment unit within the Community Development department. Public Environment works with the operation and maintenance of streets, roads, green areas, forests, as well as urban planning in detailed plans and overall planning. The unit projects, builds new infrastructure such as facilities and streets, and prepares land for development.

Responsibilities

The facility managers are responsible for service, repairs, and maintenance in many of the municipality's operations. The role involves participating in and contributing to tasks that arise within the unit, and having the ability to work flexibly and support colleagues when needed. As a facility manager, you will assist the operations with moving furniture, equipment, and ordering materials. We are a workplace with close collaboration, where the needs of the operations drive our common priorities.

Our unit is responsible for snowmaking and operating snow groomers on the cross-country skiing tracks at Sundsberget, inspection and maintenance of the municipality's hiking trails, maintenance of green areas in the Kolsnäs area, ongoing supervision of swimming facilities, as well as sampling and control of water quality.

Qualifications

We require that you have at least a high school education with a practical focus, for example within construction and civil engineering, or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent. Certifications for brush cutters, chainsaws, off-road vehicles, and wheel loaders are meritorious, as is experience with pool maintenance and water quality control.

You have a few years of experience working in property maintenance, facility management, construction, park and green area maintenance, or similar operations, as well as general technical knowledge.

You should have a good attitude towards both adults and children, and the work requires a high degree of flexibility, dialogue, and communication. A valid B-class driver's license is required.
